Malaysian Latex Dipping Companies use Alpac/Waterworks’ Treatment Plants to Meet Tough Discharge Standards
The Mapa Group of Companies produce household and work latex gloves. Alpac (Malaysia) supplied turnkey treatment solutions to improve and upgrade existing facilities that could not cope with growing loads and stringent environmental guidelines. All three of these projects had limited land area and multiple wastewater streams.
Alpac completed detailed wastewater audits and then supplied combinations of Waterworks’ DAF systems, rubber traps, screen units, stripping towers, TFEA systems, enhanced aeration systems and sludge handling. The effluent had soluble and insoluble latex compounds, metals (particularly zinc) and various reagents used in the different products Mapa produces.
